VirtualBox binary from GPL code?

I know this is more of a request and should probably be posted elsewhere, but...

Currently, VirtualBox isn't supported for 64bit systems. The only other option using normal portage is to fetch virtualbox-bin. However, unlike other bin-packages, this isn't just a 32bit compiled version of the same source as the 64bit version would be. The binary version of VirtualBox in portage is based on the non-GPL code (which is quite restrictive as to what you may or may not do). Since it may take some time before a proper 64bit version is made, would it be possible to add a proper GPL:ed, 32bit -bin version to portage, or is there an easy way to accomplish this by myself?
