Hi all,
I followed the how-to in https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-372153-highlight-ellipse+300+ups.html (I used NUT version that was in portage, as it was a higher version that the one stated in the text). I followed exactly the steps in the howto, but couldn't start the driver (and so I stopped there) :
Code: | # /etc/init.d/upsdrv start
* Caching service dependencies ... [ ok ]
* Starting UPS drivers ...
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.3
Network UPS Tools: New USB/HID UPS driver 0.28 (2.0.3)
No matching USB/HID UPS found
Driver failed to start (exit status=1)
* Failed to start UPS drivers! [ !! ] |
I already checked kernel config and module loading, it should be all right I guess. UPS is turned on and connceted allright. I am not very good at configuring UDEV, so I can only guess that config is ok...
Code: | # mkdir test
# mount --bind / test
# ls -al test/dev/con* test/dev/nul*
crw------- 1 root tty 5, 1 Feb 14 2006 test/dev/console
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 1, 3 Feb 14 2006 test/dev/null |
So, here I am.
Can someone help with that ?
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks in advance (I really need to get this to work before friday!) _________________ . . . . . . . .
