I have a dual core turion64. The thing is when i boot from the gentoo liveCD and check my system monitor it shows 2 cpus, one for each core i would assume. But now that i have it installed, it only shows one cpu in the system monitor. Im just wondering if theres a way i can change that so i see both cores seperately.
thanks!

also i installed vmware and when i create a virtual machine it won't let me choose 2 processors, leading me to believe that gentoo is not seeing both cores. i also have windows set up and i can run vmware with two processors devoted to a vm.

does anyone know how to fix any of this? i read somewhere about hyperthreading, but i have no idea if that has anything to do with this...

any help woudl be greatly appreciated!!
thanks!!

wehn i did that another kernel option appeared right under it with something about dual core
just enabled them and recompiled, all set :)
