Failure to Emerge Python on install

As the subject states, I get to around packet 109, and I get an error stating that the installer cannot emerge python. Anyone else ever have this problem?
Im running the amd64 installer.

Livecd/DVD or minimal install cd?

I was using the liveCD, I decided to get smart and use the minimalist one, thanks !

Now, if youll look at my OTHER post, Im having a different type of problem
