I deleted a partition I did not use (hda4) to install windows on (for games), fdisk said I needed to reboot before the partition changes would take effect. I rebooted, then grub came up with an error 'Boot failed', nothing else. So I booted into knoppix, it could mount the boot partiton (/dev/hda1) and the root partition (/dav/hda3) but whne I ran 'root (hd0,0) under grub it said 'Selected disk does not exist', even though I can mount the boot partition. wtf is going on? _________________ 95% of all computer errors occur between chair and keyboard (TM)
