Hi

After a change from a older gcc to gcc4 (emerge -e system world) and from KDE to fluxbox and some useflag changes. Now revdep-rebuild reports that:

Quote:

broken /usr/lib/transcode/filter_preview.la (requires /usr/lib/libdv.la)
broken /usr/lib/xmms/Input/libmp4.la (requires /usr/lib/libfaad.la)

I think this dep problems aren't rebuilded because this libs aren't needed by the system or the ebuild isn't on the system, from wich the lib comes.

Now is there any save way to clean out such files. Or what I should do?

Search the forums for cruft.

Or just delete the listed libs.

Moved from Portage & Programming to Duplicate Threads in favour of topic 495514, post 3563723 in particular.
