'getpass_asterisks' ?????

Hey,

I'm not too sure if i posted this in the right forums so just a sorry in advanced!

But my problem is whenever I login doesn't matter if i'm login in as a user or su - to root I get this message

"configuration error - unknown item 'GETPASS_ASTERISKS' (notify administrator)"

Does anyone know what this means?
