Hi. I do feel like I'm completely dumb, but since ages I cannot configure my xbox360 to go to internet through the gentoo box. It works with windows though.

I have dnsmasq with following config:

dhcp-range=192.168.1.10,192.168.1.250,72h
interface=eth1

Xbox receives address 192.168.1.10, but during the connection test it fails on misterious IP check. Here's the sample of what prints dnsmasq with debugging on during this:
dnsmasq: DHCPOFFER(eth1) 192.168.1.10 00:12:5a:8e:66:55
dnsmasq: DHCPDISCOVER(eth1) 00:12:5a:8e:66:55
dnsmasq: DHCPOFFER(eth1) 192.168.1.10 00:12:5a:8e:66:55
dnsmasq: DHCPDISCOVER(eth1) 00:12:5a:8e:66:55
dnsmasq: DHCPOFFER(eth1) 192.168.1.10 00:12:5a:8e:66:55
dnsmasq: DHCPDISCOVER(eth1) 00:12:5a:8e:66:55
dnsmasq: DHCPOFFER(eth1) 192.168.1.10 00:12:5a:8e:66:55

My network config is the following:
adsl router at 192.168.1.1, eth0 at 192.168.1.2, eth1 at 192.168.1.3 and yes, I'm trying to have everything inside single network, i guess it's possible.

edit
okay, switching off from dnsmasq to dhcpd and not trying to use same network worked.
