The application soundserver (artsd) crashed and caused the sugnal 11 (SIGSEGV)..

I can't ear any sound, I tried with CD end mp3...

What should I do to? How does sound server work? Is there a soundserver configuration file?

Thank you!

Is your alsasound started on boot?

try /etc/init.d/alsasound start

Just emerge alsa-utils. If alsasound start nothing, run alsaconf.

I suggest you to read the Gentoo Linux ALSA Guide
It is a listing of the gentoo docs here

ok, look at this:

if I type this command:

# lspci -v | grep -i audio

the output is:

00:02.7 Multimedia audio controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] AC'97 Sound Controller (rev a0)

between word "Controller" and "(rev a0)" I expected soething like a name of a module!

example in ALSA handbook the example is:
# lspci -v | grep -i audio
0000:00:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 06)

where EMU10k1 is the name of a module, tu put in make.conf as value of ALSA_CARDS

Why can I understand which module to choose?

Try using alsa modules in kernel. I have better experiences with them. I had more problems with alsa from portage.

It's a good choice. You will learn faster as with another distribution, and the gentoo documentation is the best I know.

About the alsa in-driver modules or the alsa-driver modules, as long at it work, it doesn't matter which one you install. You must only have one at the same time which each particular kernel.

Now, you can check with
Code:
lsmod | grep snd
wich alsa modules are loaded, and remove the non loaded if any from make.conf. So it will go faster the next time you install the alsa-driver package.

And please, edit your first post and add [solved] at the title's end.
