Samba and files locking

Hello,

We have an access to open and close files over the network and using samba protocol...
While files are opened, we noticed that files are locked which makes sense...
However, when we close them at the end few of them still locked...

My questions:
- is there any way to unlock these files
- Do you know how to prevent this problem in the future,
- this problem is it related to samba?
