|
|
I finally got my system up but now when I emerge KDE it starts to install. It downloads files and seems to be going fine until it stops in the middle of a download. It just hangs there so I press control c. It gets me out. When I re-run emerge it seems that it starts to take up where it left off which is ok but here is the problem. It trys to resume the download that froze. It just hangs there and timesout only to timeout again and again. The third time it times out it gets to connected to server then says waiting for response and freezes there. I change my make.conf files to different servers only to have the same problem. Is there any way to start over or start that file over. It seems to hang at that point. Is there anyway to clean out what has been done and start over? It's not a network problem as I can ping servers and it does connect just doesn't resume! ANybody please help!!!!! |

Delete the KDE folder in /var/tmp/portage and delete the kde file that is corrupt from /usr/portage/distfiles. If corruption is your problem then this will fix it. |
