Can someone give me a hint on how to get this to work? If I start the X-server with the projector plugged in it projects but the LCD screen is blank. If I plug in the projector after the X-server has already been started nothing happens.
If I hit Fn+F8 the screen flickers but nothing happens.
P.S.
I have an nvidia card. _________________ -Raf |

Are you wanting the projector to clone the LCD? Search the nvidia handbook for "Twinview", that'll let you clone your displays. And do other things if you don't want cloning. _________________ Desktop: AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice Core, 2GB PC3200, 2x160GB 7200rpm Maxtor DiamondMax 10, 2x320GB WD 7200rpm Caviar RE, Nvidia 6600GT 256MB

Hi,
Yes. I just want a simple clone of my display. I just want to do my presentation, no fancy shared multi-displays or such.
I thought TwinView was if I want to extend my desktop onto multiple monitors. _________________ -Raf |

It's the prefered way for nvidia cards of doing that sort of thing. _________________ Desktop: AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice Core, 2GB PC3200, 2x160GB 7200rpm Maxtor DiamondMax 10, 2x320GB WD 7200rpm Caviar RE, Nvidia 6600GT 256MB
