|
|
On two different systems after sync:
Code: | --- Invalid atom in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: >>>>>>> 1.5723
--- Invalid atom in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: =======
--- Invalid atom in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: <<<<<<< package.mask
|
System 1:
Code: | 1155394676: Started emerge on: Aug 12, 2006 16:57:56
1155394676: *** emerge sync
1155394676: === sync
1155394676: >>> Starting rsync with rsync://134.68.220.73/gentoo-portage |
verified with System2:
Code: | 1155394722: Started emerge on: Aug 12, 2006 16:58:42
1155394722: *** emerge sync
1155394722: === sync
1155394722: >>> Starting rsync with rsync://64.127.121.98/gentoo-portage |
Both systems use Kernel 2.4 Profile
/etc/make.profile -> /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/x86/no-nptl/2.4/
Could someone in charge remove the garbage so the mirrors have a clean Portage tree in a few hours ??? |

I already filed a bug about this and it's already been fixed. The mirrors I use have the fixed version so by the time you next sync you should have it as well.
FYI, posting to the forums is a great way to get help, but it's not a good way to contact Gentoo devs. Filing a bug is a much better way to get things like this fixed. |

Agreed, I intended to do so, but was redundant because you already filed a bug and the thing is fixed...
About response times, a lot of developers read the forums and react on such issues quite as quick as on filed bugs, but next time I check Bugzilla BEFORE posting... |
