Hi
I recently upgraded my gcc to 3.4.6 (on 2.6.16-gentoo-r9 kernel) and now when I boot my comp up I get this error:
Code: | /etc/host.conf: line 24 bad command 'mdns off' | What can I do to correct this file? Any help will be greatly appreciated. _________________ Registered Linux User #400426

I doubt it was upgrading gcc that caused the problem; more likely it was glibc...
Searching the forum comes up with these topics that answer your question. (Hint: remove offending line from /etc/host.conf) |

Moved from Other Things Gentoo to Duplicate Threads.
[mod]Moved this thread in favour of this one. As gami states, it was caused by an update to glibc. You can check the bug report in the thread I've linked.[/mod] _________________ Jorge.
