Hey all, trying to play UO under WINE on an emulation server using rather old software (Called sphereserver 51a) the problem is its thrown bad login 4 and I get an error "problems communicating with origin". Client version is 2.0.0.
I dont think many people here would have any idea about UO but the interesting part is that I copied over the exact same .wine directory to my test box (running fedora) and it worked fine! The only difference is the wine 0.9.17 vs 0.9.18 on gentoo, and Im using wireless(madwifi) on my gentoo box and wires on the fedora box. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? (other then wine version - going to emerge 0.9.17 at lunch). |

I can't to help with wine but i know two clients for linux. Try wolfpack client. Read the wiki. And have a 3d client that use openGL. The name is iris. You will have to get from svn. |

I dont really want to use a 3rd party client... thanks though.
I emerge the older wine and it does tte same thing...y et the EXACT same setup/install works on Fedora (copied my .wine over). Whatevers causing this is gentoo specific(or maybe kernel specific ). _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein |

So.. after a long hiatus from UO I decided to start back up and am experiencing this problem again. I know I fixed it last time but cant remember how.... This time its happening with client 6.0.something instead of 2.0.0. _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein |
