Did I overlook the thread on this topic or are we not doing this anymore? Well, anyway, just in case it's not started yet and we are still doing it, here's mine.

Not much different, still using a recently cvs checkout of KDE 3.5.3, just changed the wallpaper and icons. Sorry it's such a mess, I've been rather busy lately. :D

The only difference from last month is that I added the pager.

Openbox with Nautilus, Tango icons, and a nice wallpaper. Still looking for some cool (or at least functioning) panel, since no one seems to be developing perlpanel, pypanel nor fbpanel. Grr :/

What features are missing from the aforementioned panels?

Menu, and pager for pypanel. Fbpanel has a menu, but it doesn't even start. Workaround exists - in bugs.gentoo.org at least - but it hasn't hit portage in over 7 months.

Can't say I'm liking SLAB. At first it seemed like an interesting way to condense Applications, Places and Systems into one menu, but it seems more like a spinoff of Windows XPs start menu if anything. This is good in a business environment since there really isn't any retraining of people when switching from Windows to SLED, but from a home desktop standpoint is there any point behind it? I'll try it some point and give updated impressions, but from the shots, EEK! Nice looking desktop BTW :P

Let me know if anyone wants the wallpaper, and I'll post it as well.

Thanks for the uh apparent complement :P. I agree with you 100%. The reason I use it is cause, well, I spent a lot of time [20 minutes of my life] getting the gnome-panel and gnome-desktop patched with the openSUSE's patches since no one on the Ubuntu Forums wanted to do it :P But yeah, I like it because its uh.. kinda cool and its by Novell. I just wish it wouldn't take up so much space.... bah..

Haha just because I don't like the apps you're using doesn't mean your desktop doesn't look pretty. :P I'm the maker of the Gilouche compiz theme, why? Because Novell makes some good artwork (and apps). I'd switch to Suse if gstreamer/banshee/totem wasn't crippled and if they fixed YaST. Maybe 10.2...
