|
|
I am curious if it is possible to have per-package cflags. Basically, my machine's standard CFlags are
Code: | CFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" |
however, cinelerra-cvs only compiles if they are set to:
Code: | CFLAGS="-march=i686 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" |
and jpeg-mmx works correctly only when compiled with:
Code: | CFLAGS="-march=athlon64 -O2 -pipe" |
if these packages needed updating during emerge -u world, the update will stop with compile errors at these packages unless I manually edit my cflags, merge them, and then change them back to the original settings before allowing any new packages to merge. Is there any other way around this? _________________ no matter how you legislate, information wants to be free.
