|

I reinstalled Gentoo yesterday because I had royally messed up my installation last week. Now when I try to do Code: | emerge -uv kde-meta |
I get the following error while compiling media-libs/jpeg-6b-r7 Code: | libtool: compile: specify a tag with `--tag'
make: *** [jcapistd.lo] Error 1
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
libtool: compile: specify a tag with `--tag'
make: *** [jctrans.lo] Error 1

!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant. |
Here is my make.conf Code: | CFLAGS="-O3 -march=prescott -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
MAKEOPTS="-j3"
FEATURES="ccache"

GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.ccccom.com http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://open-systems.ufl.edu/mirrors/gentoo"

VIDEO_CARDS="fglrx radeon vesa"
ALSA_CARDS="emu10k1"

Any idea how I should fix this? Without KDE I can't do much.

Please try re-emerging sys-devel/libtool. _________________ If you feel the issues discussed in this thread have been resolved, please add a "[Solved]" to the subject of your original posting. |

Thank you, this worked. However, it seems strange that I should need to do so. Oh well, whatever. |
