|
|
When I try to start Epiphany I get this message:
http://img230.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshotid4.png
I thought all I needed to do was start dbus, so I ran it:
/etc/init.d/dbus start
Then I tried to start Epiphany again, but the same message.
Anyone know how to fix this?
THANKS |

I'm experiencing the same problem. Seamonkey works fine though. Only epiphany causing this. Some solutions on this thread.

Try starting Gnome with something like:
dbus-launch --exit-with-session gnome-session _________________ For every hammer there is a nail.

Personally, I solved it on my box by using GDM instead of KDM...
For whatever reason, kdm wasn't running the stuff in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/30-dbus and gdm was (and I don't know why, of course). Mildly annoying to a KDE-lover like myself, but no biggie. _________________ Firefox is spelled F-i-r-e-f-o-x - only the first letter capitalized (i.e. not FireFox, not Foxfire, FoxFire or whatever else a number of folk seem to think it to be called.) Also had the same prob. Managed to fix it by modifying /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/30-dbus.
See Cannot connect to D-BUS session... |
