firefox realplayer plugin doesn't work

I've installed realplayer using .bin from realplayer's website, not emerge. I've made sure a link to the .so and .xpt files are in /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins directory.
when I type in about:plugins, it shows
Helix DNA Plugin: RealPlayer G2 Plug-In Compatible
audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin RealPlayer Plugin Metafile rpm Yes

but no real video can be played
any thoughts?

when I try to play a real video, there will be those plugin install tab, but I thought i've already soft linked realplayer plugins.?
