Hi !
I've got a Sound Blaster Audigy and I'm trying to install emu10k1 driver. In fact, there's no problem during the install. Then, you have to edit emu10k1.conf and launch audigy-script :

Code:
# audigy-script
SOUND_MIXER_PRIVATE3: you're probably using an older incompatible driver : Invalid argument

I have an alsa-free system, so it can't be the origin of my problem. I have two soundcards on my system : one included in the motherboard (/dev/dsp) and the audigy (/dev/dsp2). The audigy-script seems to be written for /dev/dsp by default :

Code:
# To use something other than /dev/dsp
# example "-D /dev/dsp1"
DSPDEV=""

# To use something other than /dev/dsp
# example "-M /dev/mixer1"
MIXERDEV=""

I try to put /dev/dsp2 after "DSPDEV=" but I obtain this message :
Code:
# audigy-script
/usr/bin/audigy-script: /dev/dsp2: Permission non accordée

Apparently, I'm not allowed to access this device (I tried also with root, same problem). But even if I put DSPDEV="/dev/dsp" (the default config), I obtain the same error.
The example "-D /dev/dsp1" given in the script doesn't work at all.

Could someone help me ?

I've disabled the onboard card, and it works (at least, audigy-script seems to work). But I've a problem : on all the card outputs, I have the rear sound. I'm not sure : can I use the analogic outputs with Linux ?
