|
|
I had not to much problem in enabling SCSI emulation (either modules or built-in) and looking trough 'dmesg' doesn't show anything suspicious. I can mount my CD's, play DVD's, CDAudio's, but I experienced some system freezes (hard reboot the only way out) and only with SCSI emulation enabled.
The main evidence that makes me think that SCSI emulation is to blame is that the problem occours very often when playing music from CD. Without SCSI emulation I never had (and never have) such problems.
Can anyone help me in tracking the problem?
I have a Shuttle MS52N (SIS 651) and a Combo IDE Philips RWDV1610G. _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |

You can also try to use ATAPI cd-writting with the newer cdrtool versions _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." -- Calvin |

Thanks for the replies, with a vanilla kernel everything seems fine.
There is a bugreport about that? _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |
