Hi,
recently I tried some old ogg files I encoded long (~4 yrs) ago. Back then I didn't have any problems with it, but now all my ogg-playing software indicates they are corrupted.
The strange thing is, that googling didn't find me any relevant info.
Is it a known problem that at some stage ogg encoding and decoding had a bug that made them mutually compatible but incompatible to later versions or something like that
TIA _________________ Cheers

I have what seems to be an identical thread open titled "OGG Tags". It's quite coincidental that both were posted today, yet the issue, at least for me, has been around for several months.
Mine too are only with my old OGG files. Only the ones that are at least 3 years old...much like yours. Funny thing is, if you use ogg123, it still reads the tags and plays (at least mine). |
