Hello,
Just completed fresh install Gentoo, X11.
I get message that: sys-apps/pam-login conflicts; advised to:
Code: | emerge --pretend gnome |
to determine conflicts. How do I determine what is causing conflict from the output? (in other words, how do I interpret the output?)
Is this related to the sticky above? (https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-443022.html)
Please advise,
Acajoe
PS I am complete Noob! |

Welcome to Gentoo!
That's exactly what it is. Follow the instructions at the top of the first post in that thread and the conflict will go away. The Gentoo Handbook's chapters on Portage have more information on this -- see the section titled "When Portage is Complaining..." to understand blocking packages. |
