compiz compiz fusion layman

Hi I have really messed my system up trying to get compiz working

It now works lol but i have messed up the windows a bit
i was wondering if there is a way to remove compiz and all its dependencies ???
Maybe i could start again .

Any advise would be nice i was maybe thinking of a clean install .

From your title I take it you used the xeffects overlay. Then enter this as root:

Moved from Desktop Environments to Unsupported Software. XEffects overlay is unsupported.
