Now that the summer has come, my laptop has started to heat up more. I am wondering if there is a way to gain control of the fan. I was told to use cpuspeedy, but the wonderful makers of my laptop set it up so that when the cpu slows down, so does the fan. I did notice however, that cpuspeedy tells me the current temp of my laptop, and was wondering if there are any tools out there to control the temp? Unfortunatly, the BIOS offers no help, so I am going to need some software. Right now, my laptop operates a 50C - 57C, and in my opinion, that is way to hot! Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
Laptop is a Compaq Presario V2000

That is perfectly fine for a laptop as laptop processors are made to take a larger temperature range. _________________ John
