Hi!

EDIT: Oops - should have searched more throughly. https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-475007.html contains the solution.

Code:
emerge --sync

fixed it

I wanted to change from monolithic kde to split ebuilds. After unmerging all of kde, I entered

Code:
emerge -a kdebase-startkde

for a minimalistic kde (I'm a little short on hd space).

sadly, it didn't even try to comple it, i'm stuck at this error message:

Code:
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

Would you like to merge these packages? [Yes/No] yes

Emerging the monolithic ebuild seems to work (at least it gets beyond unpacking, then i canceled because that's not what I wanted.)

emerge --info returns the following:

Code:
emerge --info
