I wanted to thank Donnie Berkholz (dberkholz) and the other X maintainers for getting the 1.4.99.905 version of the xorg-server out so quickly. It seemed like it took less than a day for an ebuild of xorg-server-1.4.99.905 to show up in the portage tree after Xorg released it.
There's alot of new stuff going on in the Xorg versions leading up to the release of 1.5, and it's really useful to be able to check-out these features so quickly after hitting the Xorg release tree.
So, as a Sabayon user, I just want to thank Donnie and the other X maintainers. It's a big advantage for the Gentoo Community to be able to get this stuff out so fast. |
