|
|
Hi,
I have compiled in the support for rtc in the kernel. Code: | CONFIG_RTC=y
CONFIG_SENSORS_RTC8564=m
# CONFIG_RTC_X1205_I2C is not set
CONFIG_SND_RTCTIMER=m
CONFIG_SND_SEQ_RTCTIMER_DEFAULT=y
CONFIG_SUN_MOSTEK_RTC=y
|
However, rtc is not working. there is no /proc/sys/dev/rtc forming. So, I can't use rtc with mplayer and stuff (mplayer gives that echo something error while trying to use rtc, which I can't do, as /proc* doesn't have the rtc in it.)
So, how do I get rtc to work?
thanks

SPARC's RTC support is handled under the "Misc Linux/SPARC drivers" section at the moment. Also the resulting RTC device created (which appears to be /dev/misc/rtc) may not operate in a way mplayer expects and therefore, causes that message. |

Well, like I said I'm not sure what calls the device supports. It may work fine for normal functions but for apps like mplayer, it may not work so well (assuming mplayer's issue with /dev/rtc really isn't something else entirely). |
