kmail crashing [solved/workaround]

kmail 3.5.3 crashes if i try to delete messages from an imap server.
also the spam filter doesn't work because it tries to delete messages...

is this a known bug or does anyone know some solution?

Are you using IMAP or Disconnected IMAP?

Try switching to disconnected imap, its a better maintained codebase

Thanks for this, it solved my problem too.

I took the liberty of writing your workaround into the already existing bug reports (135110 and 134969).

Switching to offline imap also worked me too (sometimes i have crashes when manually applying filters on large amount of mails).

The problem (when i used online imap) appears when I - or my filters - want to delete more than one messages at once. The problem started after i upgraded my kde-meta to 3.5.7 (including kdepim of course).

Now - since i'm using offline imap - I can delete, but I have filter crashes sometimes (not constantly, so i can live with this)
