/bin/su no longer listens to SIGINT!

Hi,

Some time ago, I did a emerge -uDav world, and afterwords, /bin/su started behaving differently.

It used to be that if I mistyped my password, I could then hit CTRL-c, and it would quit. Now, I have to wait the full 3 seconds for it to timeout and tell me that the password was incorrect. I mistype my password so often that this can be very aggrivating.

Does anyone know where this setting resides?

If you are using PAM, you could try adding "nodelay" in file

auth       sufficient   pam_unix.so likeauth nullok nodelay

It seems to do what you want, but warning : I am not a PAM expert ...
