Hi,
I've compiled vesafb-tng into my kernel (using genkernel to compile), I'm at version 2.6.16-gentoo-r7, the frame buffer works fine on the rescue/install CD but getting no love on my system (so not hardware).
I dont see any errors in dmesg so I dont know why the hell its ignoring video=vesafb:ywrap,mtrr:0,1024x768-16@85.
The system just starts with a normal console.
BTW I have run grub-install and also tried the grub cmd.
Compiling vesafb as opposed to vesafb-tng also yields the same result, except with vesafb it tells me the high res vga= options are unavailable.
Thanks a ton for any help you wish to give me in advance,
