Hi everybody.
I've just merged gnome, but when trying to use # gdm; I get an error: | Quote: | | Failed to start the X server (your graphical interface). It is likely it is not set up correclty. You will need to log in on a console and configure the X server. Then restart GDM |
, so I tried to strat before the xserver: # startx; but when doing so, I get this problem: | Quote: | Fatal server error:
Cannot run in framebuffer mode. Please specify busIDs for all framebuffer devices

What should I do? I've here the Xorg.0.log, the one gave when this problem appens.
Let me know if I should post it.

P.S.
I installed gentoo from stage1 and emerged only system, gnome, gamin, xscreensaver. I don't know if other application are required. I want only to run gnome. Here are my USE: 3dnow dvd dvdr cdr alsa avi opengl openal mp3 libg++ gtk gtk2 gtkhtml xine oggvorbis asf gnome gtk.
Note that I added gnome and gtk after # emerge gnome, then I re-emerge gnome.
