Hi
I did just finnish my installation of gentoo on my local fileserver.
When I run dmesg I get loads of strange messages that i dont really understand, any ideas?
The entire dmesg is saved here: http://www.onemanarmy.net/temp/oscar/dmesg_install.txt
Any ideas?

It looks like those are created by a Grsecurity option in your kernel. Maybe you have some of the "Kernel Logging" options enabled. _________________ After Perl everything else is just assembly language. |

Yes. I have those enabled, isnt that good?
I did read the descritons & did choose those i thought was good?
so the msg is no problems? a bit annoying that i cant se the whole dmesg thing cause of those loggs? |

Yes there is nothing wrong. If you aren't going to use the msgs generated you will probably want to recompile your kernel with those options disabled. In the meantime, keep a close eye on the size of your log files especially if /var/log is not on a separate partition. The df command (I remember the name by "disk full?") is a great way to check. _________________ After Perl everything else is just assembly language. |
