après avoir compiler le noyau je veux définir mon mots de passe mais
la commande passwd ne fonctionne pas.
Pourquoi et comment faire pour la faire marcher?

Est-ce-que tu définis ton mot de pass en root ou en user ?
Je sais qu'en user pam t'empêche d'utiliser des mots trop simple et il rejette ta proposition. Dans le cas contraire, ca ne devrait poser normalement aucun problèmes. Essaye de nous donner plus de précision sur le message d'erreur ou sur ce qu'il se passe réellement.

ce probleme tu l'as sur la meme machine que sur l'autre topic??
parceque si c le cas on va peut-etre attendre de resoudre ton probleme de boot ... :wink:

Après réinstallation totale de gentoo, tout marche comme sur des roulettes. Encore merci de votre aide, elle m'aura permit de bien comprendre pas mal de choses 8)
Au fait il s'agissait d'une mauvaise compilation de "métalog"
