The latest azureus needs firefox 3 or xulrunner 1.9. Make sure you're running one of the two. _________________ My emerge --info

I still am stumped as to why it is not compiling. Do i have to compile some firefox from an overlay or something? I even used the seamonkey flag, just to see if this worked. I never use seamonkey..... |

I have the 3.1.1.0 version running fine but you need firefox, not firefox-bin. Firefox-bin is 32bit and azureus compiles as 64bit. _________________ My emerge --info

Same problem here, have latest Firefox (not bin) and xulrunner 1.9 installed but Azureus still wants me to recompile swt with "embedded browser". Tried to fiddle around with the useflags for swt, but no luck... |

Just disable the swt check in the ebuild. Worked for me. |

I commented out the if in the ebuild, since i KNEW for a fact that i did have swt compiled with firefox AND xulrunner.
vim /usr/local/portage/layman/java-overlay/net-p2p/azureus/azureus-3.1.1.0.ebuild
Code: |
pkg_setup() {
#if ! built_with_use --missing false -o dev-java/swt firefox seamonkey xulrunner;
#then
# eerror "dev-java/swt:3.4 must be compiled with the firefox, seamonkey or xulrunner USE flag"
# eerror "(support may vary per swt version) or azureus will hang at startup!"
# die "recompile dev-java/swt:3.4 with embedded browser"
#fi
java-pkg-2_pkg_setup
}
|
oh and btw, this version of azureus works like a charm. |

I just did a clean re-install and ran into the same problem. You should probaby mark this as "WORK AROUND" rather than solved. The overlay has to fix the ebuild. _________________ My emerge --info

agreed.
ALSO..... there is something wrong with this, you konw how when you open up azureus, you see on one side the torrents and on the other side videos to be clicked on? Well, even on the version before this, the videos do not appear for me. I do not know what is wrong, because as i said, swt is being compiled with the firefox and xulrunner. I guess it will solve itself eventually. |

I noticed that, so I switched to the classic interface and ignored the problem. _________________ My emerge --info
