I found the following things missing or superfluous in the hppa-install guide:
-> Numerous mentions of RISC, x86 or PPC-specific things. It is a "hppa" install guide, no other architecture should be mentioned.
-> Palo doesn't support reiserfs. It should be a note in the install guide.

Anyone have other suggestions?

The chapter about setting keymaps also talks a lot about different architectures but does not mention any advice on what to use on hppa.

the documentation main page here says
Quote:
If you find bugs in our documentation or have proposals, please use our Bugtracking System and fill in a bug report for "Documentation" or "Doc Other".

so please advance to bugs.gentoo.org if you have enhancements or proposals for the documentation, it is more likely to be read there by someone who can change that.

It's worth noting, those handbooks often share sections.

For instance, almost all the handbooks use the same file for Chapter 5. Compare:

The one exception to this rule is MIPS, which has a custom section. (This was a decision I made when it became clumbersome to use the communal one, and still provide the necessary MIPS-specific documentation)

Many other sections are also shared... ViewCVS has a listing of all the files that make up those handbooks. (They're generated on-the-fly from a series of GuideXML files). You'll notice many sections are shared between the handbooks.
