Is scroll lock on? Try hitting it and seeing what happens.
What kind of keyboard is it? USB or PS/2 or suchlike? _________________ Desktop: AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice Core, 2GB PC3200, 2x160GB 7200rpm Maxtor DiamondMax 10, 2x320GB WD 7200rpm Caviar RE, Nvidia 6600GT 256MB

Did you compile USB HID support into your kernel? _________________ Desktop: AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice Core, 2GB PC3200, 2x160GB 7200rpm Maxtor DiamondMax 10, 2x320GB WD 7200rpm Caviar RE, Nvidia 6600GT 256MB

zaitzev,
I have a similar issue with my Gateway USB keyboard.
I either have to unplug it and reconnect it, or unload and reload the USB 1.1 module so that it works.
The latter is more convient. In /etc/conf.d/local.start add
Code: | modprobe -r ohci-hcd
modprobe ohci-hcd |
Change ohci-hcd to uhci-hcd depending on your USB hardware.
Your kernel needs to support module unloading and USB needs to be modular for this to work. _________________ Regards,
