My X starts up and runs KDE just fine. But I've noticed a few errors in the output of startx that I'm trying to work out. This one in particular has me stumped, I've found a lot of people asking about this but no one seems to be answering (out on usenet that is, this question appears to never have come up here).

here's the output of my startx. I'm wondering about that "owner of /tmp/.ICE-unix" thing. The owner of that directory is me. Can simply changing that to root solve my problem or is there more going on here? And any stabs at the other problems in there are welcome too :)

Thanks.

HI.
I get nearly the same Errors ;)

Code:

_KDE_IceTransmkdir: Owner of /tmp/.ICE-unix should be set to root
Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy
QWidget::setMinimumSize: The smallest allowed size is (0,0)

At least this three lines. But haven't found out how to fix it either.
So if somebody could help....
