| Is it my imagination or do windows programs like bitcomet download at a much quicker rate rather than linux alternatives such as ctorrent? |

Bitcomet and bitlord abuse the bittorrent protocol. Those two clients do get better download rates, but at the expense of the actual total throughput and overhead of the entire swarm, because of their spamming of disconnects/reconnects, hammering of trackers, etc.
[soapbox]I highly recomment all users of Azureus download the Stuffer plugin and set it to kick/ban bitlord/bitcomet clients. Your connection will thank you.[/soapbox] |
