Hello everyone!

So, basically, I did emerge --sync && emerge -avuDNt world and some new updates showed up for ~amd64. But they or didn't emerge or were broken.
First xterm-212-r1:
Code:

/usr/include/linux/errno.h:4:23: error: asm/errno.h: No such file or directory

Linux 2.0.10 or later.  This check uses <linux/version.h>, so
make sure that file was built correctly when installing the kernel header

configure option --with-headers.

Ok, NOW this looks serius! revdep-rebuild gives (besides azureus and openoffice) a broken gcc4!
I'll reemerge it...

Well, apparently your system headers are broken, which cause pretty much everthing else to fail. Not sure why linux-headers is failing though (as there is no usable error message). What you need is a "binary" linux-headers package, or you try to fix them one by one (if you're lucky only a few files are broken/missing, if you're not lucky there are hundres of broken files).

Oh c'mon! Why did that happen?? I watched a goddamned dvd in kaffeine! :x I don't think that killed my system... :(
Could I use a stage3 tarball? Like overwrite some dirs? The system works fine, I just can't emerge anything...

Solved! You gave me a lead on what to do. I found a rpm with the linux-headers and, after converting it into tar, I saw that the package isn't compiled at all. Linux-headers are just source files put together. So I dowloaded the source pakage, that in fact didn't have any makefile in it. The problem was in /usr/include/asm (as can be seen in the gcc emerge error), so I copied asm from the source package into mine and overwrote everthing. gcc is already recompiled! I also reemerged linux-headers, and it went ok, but with many warnings in it.

You mean emerging or linux headers giving errors? I'm doing an --emptytree emerge and I'm almost done. No problems whatsoever.

Well, at least you can emerge something, I couldn't... It sucks emerging glibc everytime, thow. Try using the linux-headers souces then. Look at the error (or post it) and copy over the missing/corrupted files.

i can't emerge sandbox either, no matter what i try. i was able to emerge linux-headers, but that didn't help. still getting an error emerging sandbox about not being able to create executables. here's the error:
Code:

Try revdep-rebuild to check, try reemerging gcc, try unsetting ldflags, if you have them. Found that on google.
