wmii-2.5.2 configuration probs

hi there,

i wanted to install a newer version of wmii than the one which is in portage. so i looked at bugs.gentoo.org for ebuilds for later versions to include them to my portage overlay.
i found one on https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117143 and could emerge it succesfully (Version 2.5.2 and also 9base-2)). the configuration files had already the structure which was anounced for wmii-3 (with an executable wmiirc). so i copied the files from /etc/wmii-2.5 to ~/.wmii-2.5 and edited them in my home. but unfortunetly the wmiirc in my home seems to be ignored. i can write anything in my home config files, nothing changes. i change wmiirc in /etc/wmii-2.5 and the change will affect wmii. can anyone help me with this issue?
