When I yesterday managed to get new torcs to work I dusted my steering wheel from closet.

Now the thing is that it has a serial connection. Documents I read tells to use inputattach command which comes with Linux Input Drivers. Part of the drivers is already part of the linux kernel but not everything, including utility programs (e.g jstest, jscal, inputattach).

Is my only chance to get my Act-Labs Force RS wheel to work to patch my kernel with mentioned drivers so that I get that one program? Just wanted to make sure before going further.
