Emerging xine fails because of a non-exisitant GL/gl.h, which is a symlink to a non-exisitant file.

What is the correct way to install openGL?

I have opengl in my USE flags and did a fresh rebuild of XFree 4.2-r12 this morning with gcc 3.1

My gl.h is in /usr/lib/opengl/xfree/include, well actually I use the ones from nvidia which are in /usr/lib/opengl/nvidia. But check if the files are there. I think
Code:
opengl-update xfree
will fix the links, but else do it manually.

I had already tried that that, but my /usr/lib/opengl/xfree is just empty.

It seems that the xfree version of opengl didn't get built when emerging xfree..

Well I'm using r11 (same as r12 except version ofcourse(diff -u)) and mine are build using gcc 3.1 . Well maybe you can do a manual compile, ebuild ..../*-r12.ebuild unpack compile and check if some error occurs (configure missing something). Sorry I can't help,
