Nvidia.

Hello I am trying to follow the nvidia guide here: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/nvidia-guide.xml

I have done everything sucessfully including emerg nvidia-glx but I can't do modprobe nvidia... (it says: FATAL: Module nvidia not found.)

I am trying to install it to 2.6.15-gentoo-r7, but I am actually running 2.6.14 now.

the nvidia modules will be installed into /lib/modules/<whatever kernel name /usr/src/linux is symlinked to> so if you are installing it into 2.6.15 and you are running 2.6.14 you won't be able to load the module until you are running that kernel. Hope this helps.

Ahh yes it works now when I reboot into the new kernel... I guess I wasn't thinking!!!
