im tring to install gentoo on my ultra 10 but im not having much luck. every time i come to boot the machine i get "Illegal Instruction" just after it says "Loaded Kernel version 2.6.15" in Silo. this isnt the only kernel ive tried though. i have tried the sparc-sources and i get the same problem. what am i doing wrong? can anyone please shed some light on this please? |

What compiler do you use? What does you kernel config file look like?
For the ultra 10 you have to compile a sparc64 kernel... _________________ A)bort, R)etry, I)nfluence with large hammer. |
