im tring to install gentoo on my ultra 10 but im not having much luck. every time i come to boot the machine i get "Illegal Instruction" just after it says "Loaded Kernel version 2.6.15" in Silo. this isnt the only kernel ive tried though. i have tried the sparc-sources and i get the same problem. what am i doing wrong? can anyone please shed some light on this please?

What compiler do you use? What does you kernel config file look like?
For the ultra 10 you have to compile a sparc64 kernel...
