my time and date setting is constantly jumping around. This is random.
I am using kde 3.5. but it always has happened for the last year or so.
What is needed to set the time correctly on my machine? |

Yes, that's the first thing I checked.
It's a CR2032 battery measuring 3.67 volts.
That's fine. |

Are you on AMD64?
I had similar problems.. if you do a search you can find some results. Some people were able to fix by passing off ACPI=off to the bios on boot, but I fixed my problems by installing a ntp client and using network time. |

I'm running KDE 3.5.1 on PPC and since a couple of days I've got the same problem. Year goes always to 1905, time jumps. Should not be the bios battery because in MacOS X time is correct. |
