Programming with GTK2?

Hey all, I'm gonna start making some software and finally decided to use gtk2 as the gui toolkit. Anyway, which editor do u use? I got anjuta2 from CVS but it's still very young... also, for designing the UI with glade, do you use glade2? cause my glade2 crashes a lot...
btw, with glade1, I make a window with some widgets, save it, then when I re-open it, all the widgets are really small... wtf is up with that?
