|
|
Hi,
I am trying to clean up my system by running emerge --depclean.
When I run this (with -pv) it informs me that it wants to uninstall app-emulation/cedega-5.0.1 (amongst others). Now I would rather that it didn't. I have app-emulation/cedega in my world file.
I also have app-emulation/cedega-5.1 in my package.provided file. I did this so that portage doesn't try to update cedega because cedega updates itself from the transgaming site.
What do I need to do to stop depclean from removing cedega? I have had a look round and can't find out how to do it.
Thanks,
Arnie[/code]

First, remove it from package.provided. If you want to stop portage from updating a package mask all higher versions of that package in package.mask instead. Second, if a package is in world it should not be unmerged by depclean, but maybe package.provided interfers with that. |
