Ok, I've had several config files stomped on... I've got most of them ironed out.... except this one. My systems boots without a network connection. Issuing a "/sbin/dhcpd eth0" fixes things, so this is more of an annoyance. Running "etc-update add net.eth0" hasn't helped.
Like I said, I know it's something stupid, but I haven't stumbled on it yet (been a rough week). Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA |

Take a look at your /etc/conf.d/net file. It should contain a line:

If you're trying to add net.eth0 to start at boot time the command is:
Code: | rc-update add net.eth0 default |
